Hello everyone.
Just enjoying my first season of growing bananas! It has been very fun and exciting to watch my first two Black Thai's grow from one foot to seven feet and nine feet tall! And also to have four suckers on the nine footer.:woohoonaner:

I also have 2 Yunnan, 2 red abs, 2 Raj puri. My wonderful greyhound dug up and killed a Yunnan and 2 Veluntina's. :( Yes the dog is still alive.

Hoping to learn and share info on the care and survival of bananas since I live in zone 7a. There are three properties I have been watching north of me that I see the bananas come back year after year so I am psyched that I should have luck with them. I am more interested in trying to get one to fruit, even if it is just once!

See you in the garden,
Hector

I'll give that a try. I have not looked for the corm so it may still be there. Thank you for the idea, i never thought of that!
