Well...Here's a look at my first attempt of extracting honey from my Bee Hives here in Lizard Creek.

Got about 1 1/2 gallons from 4 medium frames, didn't want to take to much from the hives being it's the first year...

Trust me 2 gallons is plenty for a seasoned citizen like me:}

Going to make some "Creamed Honey" also with the excess...

Also attempting to make a small amount of lip balm and hand salve from the bee's wax:}

Honey taste pretty good if I do say so lol

Peace Bee with U

Great job! Keep the bee's alive!

Thank U Sir

My primary reason for the Bee's were/is for pollination of my many fruit trees and vegetables...

I have learned much so far this my first year, my focus has shifted a little and as you mentioned it is my goal also to keep the bee's alive and multiply my hives during that process.

The "Honey" is a pretty Sweet byproduct also lol :08:

Ok after a good bit of honey distributed, I bottled/glassed up the rest...

Now to make a few ladies at my office smile when I present them with a little somin, somin, from the ladies of Lizard Creek (uh Bee's I mean:})

Hoping for a win/when situation:} :08:

I am not that sure of the process. But my dad has killed a few hives trying to split the hive. Havingsaid that, he currently has 4 hives. At one point he was up to 8 hives. He told me this time of year they are just producing drones and not honey.
