My Ensete Glaucum I started from seed in December. Its now 6 feet at the tallest leaf. I hope I can overwinter in my greenhouse.

Ensete Glaucum (or any Ensete for that matter) is super easy to overwinter bareroot in a cool, dry space also. I have had one in a pot for years, and just throw it under the house in the winter. It comes back without fail every spring. Yours looks great!

I live in the northeastern part, very humid, and hot. Lots of trees, hills, creeks and springs. I have woods all around the house, but unfortunately lots of mosquitoes as well lol.

That’s some impressive growth for less than a year… here in the UK I have over wintered Ensete glaucum down to 0c in the loft, last winter I tried over wintering it in garage… went down to -1.5C and I lost it :(

Its growing very rapidly , its about 8 feet tall, starting to do a weird thing with its leaves, they are all spinning counter clockwise just a little more each day, looking more like a banana now.
