what kind....
what kind....Shame he won't answer. Even bigger shame that he won't offer seeds for sale to members here. I'm not ready to try growing any just yet but many are.
I've never tasted one. I found 2 older ones in a package for $1.99 on the discount shelf at my little produce store but didn't cave because this novice didn't know whether they were good still or not. Or if they ever were.

The best passionfruit is no passionfruit.
Invasive bugger and moth attractor. I'm still pulling, spraying the vines that pop up.

Bananimal I guess if I was some old fogy at the garden club you would have listen when I told you about the passion vine YOU wanted. The passion vine does not attract moths the moths are probably coming from the old at the garden club or your wallet :ha::ha::ha::ha::ha:

Passion vines respond well to a hard pruning.

You were the first to open your big mouth so why don't you practice what you preach or are you special. Maybe you need a job or something so you have something to do with yourself . I guess your use to saying whatever you want and getting away with it.

I for one love these threads, actually Sunfish's fishing thread, these Hybrid threads, WormFarmers thread, the Spring hill Nursery thread and the tons and tons of good info in a format im familiar with and is user friendly.
I say this with the utmost respect, as a casual observer.
its funny how you derail a perfectly good Gardening related thread to call someone out, you know what they say about those that live in glass house...
To me these thread are Helpfull and interesting.
Thanks for contributing
carry on.

At the prices they charge for them at the store an out of controll passion fruit may not be such a bad thing.
I wanted to politely ask Sunfish If he wouldnt mind doing a passion Training 101 thread for all of us that value his expertise. I think the run away stories you hear are people that for whatever reason LET the vine alon for to long and it goes rampant. A dilema I hope to have someday. Just found a bag of seeds I stashed away a few years ago from seed out of some fruit a buddy broght me back from islands that was wild and tasty. just planted about 20 seeds well see! wish me luck.
To the haters, since there is no passiflora.org this place seems as good as any and better than most to discuss these Crazy vines, are you serious about not liking the pics about those cool flowers?? it blows my mind, I guess no place is immune from drama. If you have better things to do, go do them and let Sunfish do his thing. I for one apreciate it!!!

i am asking for the same thing that you are. i love passionfruit and pictures are great, but information is better. tony has been less than helpful in the past, but hopefully that will change.
is that hard to understand?

The passion fruit is very good but you need to trim the plant it or it could take over your yard. :ha:
