I was watering my cumcumber patch & the D Namwah and out from the shadows comes a field mouse, an Arnold Schwarzenegger mouse.. and runs under my wood pile.. I think it moved the whole wood pile in its withdrawl..
So you know the wood pile is fixing to be a pile ash.. That sucker is eating all my baby cucumbers.. Smoked Rat anyone?.. ( the smoker is going isn't that convenient..) lol :^)

This is not the first time I have bought an item from Home Depot that has been damaged or has missing parts
Items with missing parts
Charbroil gas grill
Moen Faucets
Delta faucets
Glo warm wall gas heaters.
This last episode was with a power vent gas water heater.
The heater out of the box had deep dent in it.
The kit supplied did not have vital saftey parts included, a vent adapter and blower mounting screws.
I called the Rheem hotline to report the the missing parts and the fella said "go back to the store and buy them"
Now, this is the phone number on the box that say's" Call this number first before you do anything else "......Do not return this product to the store. We will help you solve your problem
Needless to say there was a few more dents when I returned it. :ha::ha::ha:
<a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/110357684@N02/14802188251" title="image by Hostafarian, on Flickr"><img src="https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5577/14802188251_0a0e2ab5e5_c.jpg" width="800" height="598" alt="image"></a>
I don't understand how manufacturers think they can get away with that nonsense. I purchase something from a store; it's missing parts or doesn't work. My contract is with the store not them; they are are responsible to the store for sending bad products. I have no issues taking something defective back to my contact and letting them sort it out with their supplier; I have never been refused a refund.

My store purchases have been successful this year so far BUT for the first time Pizza Hut messed me up BAD. As always I ordered online for carryout.... After so many successful pickups I figured it was only a waste of paper to continue printing my receipts.
Upon pickup, before I paid, the cashier read my toppings and showed me my pizzas.... 1 pizza was fine and the other was ALL screwed up... The cashier explained ordering online sends the receipt/request straight to them with no third party... Said I must have made a mistake... Grrr unwilling I paid anyways and got home to realize my receipt in my email had the toppings I ordered and the store didn't.
I called them and the manager pretty much stated I'm a liar... I said I could show them my printed receipt and even forward them my email receipt. Blah blah blah they didn't care or even fix.
Papa Johns from now on... I'll miss that stuffed crust.

I did send them an email on their website stating my situation and mentioned the evil managers name, no response yet... To be honest it probably won't be my last time ordering Pizza Hut but I'll be ready next time. It's too easy to get 2 large pizza for less than $20 online and there location is really close to my home.

You got to give them time to check into this and to mail you a coupon for a free pizza or two for your inconvenience. And back you are at PH..... :0517:

An acquaintance had asked for a banana pup. Last Tuesday I have separated it from the mother plant, washed out the roots, treated them with mycorrhizae to get the plant off to a good start and even delivered the pup to his house with the root ball wrapped in a plastic bag.
He offered to pay for it, but I declined. Walked by his house today and the pup in the bag was still leaning against his house untouched with some very sad looking leaves peeking out of the top.
The pup was at least 4' to 5' already, but now......

I used a post hole digger to plant it.
I will admire plants others have but ask for none; I don't have space for them just now. IF someone insists on giving me a "little" start, I explain my circumstances--again. IF they persist (as in putting it in the back of the truck), I do my best to take care of it and usually succeed. I guess I think of plants like children; they didn't ask to be here and don't deserve to be neglected or mistreated.

I wished that he would be at least already at this point, so the plant would have a slim chance to survive. But no, the root ball is still in the plastic bag.
I have not forced the plant on him. He asked for it and I even asked him if it was a good time to bring it over.
If I get a plant as a gift, I take extra good care of it, show updates to the giving person in photos or give back in fruits/veggies.
Oh well...

Well, I took a day off work because I'm sick. I got a text from my boss.
It seems that I groomed a dog a MONTH ago and the owner brought the dog in to the vet YESTERDAY and said I cut it's leg.
Mind you, I managed to somehow time-shift and cut her dog a month after I groomed it.
The vet examines the dog and tells her it is NOT a cut at all, it's a lumpy cyst like thing that has broken open, probably cancer.
She decides this means I gave her dog cancer.
Really. If I had the power to give a creature cancer... it wouldn't be the dog.

Wife wakes me up at 3:45am before I have to go to work. Says kids were up an messing with your reef tank. Now anyone that knows anything about saltwater tanks knows they are touchy!! So they dumped a cup if krill, pellets, half left of dechlor bottle an ph stable ! Then knocked corals over, unplugged lights, messed with timers, messed with skimmer. Tank was pure white. Removed all the floating food I could as rest dissolved. Did a water change then and another when I got home 8hrs later. Corals are all stressed out so time wil tell if they survive. I rescued the sea anemone years ago from a crappy petstore. It has gotten huge. I pray it doesn't die! Why the heck do little kids get into stuff! 😟

I've been watching our young hazelnut tree for several weeks now, hoping this would be the first year we would get a crop. With our dog on guard to chase away any squirrels things were looking very promising. And then we decided to take a break from the busy summer and drive down to Oregon for a couple of days to relax (we took the dog with us).
When we returned three day later the tree had been stripped of nuts........... :(

The Fam all went for a walk an in a part of the neighborhood they are still building. We see a large 15ft at least Palmento palm. They just cleared the woods out so must be wild/ left behind maybe from someone that lived here years ago. Sabal minors are weeds in the woods all over around here. Don't normaly find Palmentos chilling in the woods. Anyhow I called the builders President and he explains to me someone bought it and will be picking it up. Now mind you that was almost two weeks ago. It's bare rooted sitting on top of the dirt. We hit 19 degrees one night and then 25. Newest growth was fried. Still sitting there and called the guy back asking what the deal is. Never called back. Contacting the builders you get cheaper prices on stuff.

So Palm tree is still there, so tracked down a guy. He made some calls and they said Palm doesn't belong to them. It's mine if I want it! AWESOME! But they said go through HOA before planting it. So that takes at least 30 days. They said I could move it into the backyard to keep it safe. As first come first serve if someone else asks about it. Only problem now is getting it to my house! I don't have a truck, trailer or a bobcat and they are pretty expensive to rent for a few minutes. I have thought if I had a way to get it a few streets over to my house and just plant it myself. But if a builder looked around for it an saw it planted, then checked up he would see no HOA paperwork approved.

Do you have a "Home Depot" close by?
They rent out trucks or pick-up trucks. You do not have to buy merchandise from them to do so.
Last time I checked, it was $19 for 90 minutes ( unlimited mileage).

Congrats.
What variety? I have "Sugarloaf" growing very well this year and have been told that their cores are nicely soft and edible.
BTW, good to see you are back on here.
WHY CAN'T A COMPANY MAKE THE SAME PRODUCT FOR THREE YEARS STRAIGHT?
BECAUSE IT'S A PIECE OF JUNK AND IF THEY STILL MADE IT I'D BUY A NEW ONE, SWAP PARTS AND RETURN IT AS DEFECTIVE !!!!!!
THAT AND PEOPLE WILL THINK THE NEW MODEL HAS THE BUGS FIXED FROM THE LAST MODEL.
NOPE, JUST MORE LIPSTICK ON A DIFFERENT PIG!
Ok rant over. :0519:
People who join this forum, never bother introducing themselves in the Welcome section, post pictures asking members to ID their plants and then get huffy when nobody jumps to attention to do so. All this while never even mentioning where they live or giving out information such as where they procured their plants. Makes me think they just stumbled onto the site though a search. Which is fine. But did they not read anything here? If they had, they'd have gotten a feel for the place. Yes, I found this site through a search and didn't join right away but, when I did, I did introduce myself. No excuse for rude barging in IMO.
Got a new one. People who join and just post stupid pictures in the gallery. I don't know how to flag them but seriously I am not planning to learn Chinese and his other picture doesn't even show up when you click on it. Why? Why bother? What's the point? Must be an inside joke somewhere....

Critters in my yard. Raccoons eating all the fruit scraps I put around my bananas for potassium and nitrogen and digging up all my piles of grass clippings. Then there's tree rats (AKA squirrels) waiting patiently to eat my mangoes, guavas, watermelons, pineapples and bananas before I get to. I think there may be other critters out there as well... It never ends!
It seems the only way to fix it is to get another critter to put in my yard to chase away all those, but they bark all the time, and dig up things after I plant them plus cost me food money...
Don't get me started on fungus... I live in Florida.

I am ranting about local garden and Facebook "wanna be" gardeners today trying to give advice, recommending online suppliers and more.
Lately I have seen banana plants offered which produce bananas with a taste of peach, priced at $40+ per pup. Argh, but of course they have NO idea what variety they are growing. I understand taste is subjective, but ....
Or another example: someone recommended Basjoo as a dessert banana ....
Next person recommended online nurseries like "Florida Hill" . Same person posted "that bananas don't grow well in San Diego". Yeah, sure, if you get plants with AA genetics or plants of unknown parentage just labeled "banana".....
Next person had the following advice: "bananas have to be cut and trimmed in a certain way otherwise they will not produce AGAIN" - aha, tell me more about it, interesting :)
I can go on and on, but I stop here. I really appreciate "bananas.org" as this forum and (most) of its members have taught me so much. Don't mind to share my experience and knowledge and I do not claim to know it all, but reading posts on FB or garden groups like the above mentioned really go under my skin and it is really difficult to deal with people like that. Rant over. Will stay away from FB and stick around on bananas.org.

Well ... that wasn't what I read in today's oil report. But there was a threat that some oil fields might have to pay storage farms to take their oil. The oil fields don't have any where to put it.
Dame ... wish I had a few tanks to store10,000 to 100, 000 bbl. Get paid $35 to $37 per bbl to take the oil and then sell when the price is back up to $25 to $35 bbl. That's X's 2. ... Heck any one have an Oil Tanker or Super Tanker to spare?????

OK ... big change in the last 4 hrs. Earlier today I read the storage problem was related to the oil fields. But that's not exactly true. The oil fields can simple stop pumping oil. ... Because of the US stay-at-home orders oil/gasoline consumption has drastically decreased. Oil & gasoline storage's are full and May oil futures will close tomorrow (Tuesday) at which time the owners of those (futures) contracts will need to accept deliveries (in May) and PAY balance owed if not already paid. The negative price is an attempt to find buyers who can accept delivery & store oil. ... Otherwise some of these Future Traders may have oil the front lawn of their big estates. Not really tho ... but someone is losing their life saving or lunch money $$$$$.
OK ... Y'all just had a lesson in Commodity Trading of Futures. You don't wait to the last minute to sell your options.

The C.D.C and the W.H.O has issued a mandate for blindfolds ...so we cannot really see what is really going on.
