I have been growing bananas in containers for several years. I live in N.C., so most of them come inside for winter and barely fit in my small house. Last year was my first try at leaving a basjoo and lasiocarpa outside and it was successful. I am so glad I finally tried that. Along with my hardy palms, the yard is well on the way to being tropical-looking. I keep a lot of other tropical houseplants, so the house is a jungle, too! As it should be :)
I am currently growing:
SDC
Zebrina (just guessing, since it hasn’t fruited)
Gran naine
FHIA-17
FHIA-23
Basjoo
Musella lasiocarpa
I picked 'saturn' as a nick just because I think it is a cool planet, although it does happen to be the god of agriculture, too (not that *I* am a god of agriculture).
