Hello All,
Found this site while looking for info on various banana cultivars.
I'm located in East Central Florida. I'm retired and enjoy growing all kinds of tropical fruits, especially those that push the limits of my USDA plant hardiness zone (9b).
I'm always on the lookout for something new and tastey to grow.

Thanks. I'm about 45 minutes north of you near Port Orange.45 minutes depends on how fast you drive and if you take the scenic route. :ha:
There are members all along the coast both north and south of me but within easy driving distance. I like meeting other gardeners. I've recently become friends with a woman who once had 20 banana varieties and loves digging in the dirt. She has a pink, DC and, I believe, a SDC along with a few others left now but is anxious to begin recollecting. She's been gardening in FL for over 30 years and strives to do it organically so has a lot of experience to offer others; I keep telling her to join us here but so far she hasn't. (She thinks this banana novice transplant from up north who never even saw a plant in person before May 2013 is very banana smart--Moi? haha! But I am reading and reading and reading...)
Post and join in!
