A month ago I bought this from Encanto Farms (pitangadiego) and he believes it's a Tall Brazilian / Hawaiian Apple but now that it's producing new leaves I'd like to get confirmation. Thanks for your help.

If it is what he obtained mislabeled as "Cardaba", then it is either tall Brazilian or something so similar that it would take a real expert to distinguish it from that variety. I have a mat of them that I got from Pitangadiego. It is a definitely a tall Pome variety that makes tasty fruit. The ratoon crop (1st pup) on my fruited at 15'. Doesn't lean at all and needs no propping. It's a really good variety if you want something tall and enjoy a sweet-tart banana.

OK that's great news. I'm not doubting him but I was just surprised by the pink because I thought these were all green but must have been thinking of some other variety.

Looks right. Lots of pink edging on the Pome varieties I have.
