Warning to everyone!!!

I did --- and when the vines started showing up all over the yard I tossed every one I could find. They kept showing up for 2 years. Invasive little bugger.

I mail-order purchased one little vine (the last they had) but after a couple of weeks I thought I had lost it. Luckily I was able to find one more larger plant at a local nursery that specializes in the "unusual" (their last plant as well). Knowing the aggressive, spreading nature of this vine I planted the new one in a large pot. That same day while cleaning the gardens I came across the first plant that looked very sad and dead so I pulled it up, and none too gently. To my surprise I saw a little green shoot so I put it in the same pot as the larger one. And to let you know how quickly this plant will move and climb, the larger plant (about 16" tall) was put in the center of an 18" square pot beside the trellis where my blue p. caerulea was growing (may it rest in peace). I'm guessing that at some point after being planted the larger p. incarnate must have fallen off its stake because when I saw it a couple of hours later it was already wrapping itself around the trellis and starting to climb!
That was a couple of days ago and both plants are now growing quickly.

I am!!! and after none of my garage stored bananas (only some that were babied indoors iupstairs in pots) survived this brutal winter. I am so glad my incarnata - Monika Fisher and another 4 yr old one from a FL breeder also made it thru the winter. In the last 20 yrs I can't remember losing any canna roots and this year I lost at least 25% - I want my global warming back!!!!
