I planted all my wild species type Bananas in light shade, under large trees, the reason was because it can get up to around 105F here in the summer for a couple of weeks, is this a good or bad idea. Will this stunt them? Examples are Sikkimensis, Itinerans Itinerans, Velutina, and Thai black.

Hi Siege,
sounds like the way to go. Where they come from almost all wild bananas grow in the
jungle in at least part shade. Also in dry regions trees will provide a touch of humidity,
which bananas love (reminds them of home).
Best,
Olaf
