I ordered from an online supplier -- won't say who to protect privacy -- ordered musa orinoco corms. Received my package, potted them up and put them in the greenhouse. What's now leafing out does not look like musa orinoco -- it looks like musa zebrina!
See my picture below. My musa zebrina is on the upper left and the mystery banana (that is supposed to be an orinoco is on the lower right). All of them are looking like this as they leaf out.
Do you all concur?

I emailed them the picture. I hope they send me replacements. I didn't want anymore zebrina.

I dont think your new plant is a zebriania, but not orinoco either.

Many bananas and plantains have wine splotches on immature leaves. I haven't grown Orinoco for so long I don't remember.

I think the one w/ heavy wine stain is a Blood banana, but the jury is still out on the other, might have to do an update as that one progresses.. :^)

Good luck. It seems to be a very common problem with sellers misidentifying plants.

I got lots of Orinoco, pretty sure that is not an Orinoco. Mine never has wine spots.

Agreeing with previous posters that it's most likely not an Orinoco; look like something possibly in the Cavendish family ;D
