This Article (http://www.nola.com/outdoors/index.ssf/2014/05/southeast_louisianas_largest_p.html) talks production of non-ethanol gas, and about how Ethanol messes up motors. My Q? is why are so Many gallons of Ethanol Mandated? Can you say Monsanto?

I recently found out from the lady at the lawn mower parts store that there is a station selling non ethanol gas in Palm City. Will start using it in my boat.
I believe non ethanol is also recommended for any small engine. Makes you wonder what "just a little veggie juice" is doing to your personal vehicle's guts...personally I'd rather see them use corn to grow cow, pork and poultry saving enough for grits, masa harina and excellent cornmeal instead of making "gas" with it.

I'd rather they stop raising GMO Corm period.. Save us some Tax $$.. :^)

I'm not up on all the nonsense but supposedly (correct me) if you save seeds from your OP crops planted adjacent or even near the patented stuff you're in potential trouble. Sorry. But if your pollen trespassed then I should be suing you for ruining my seeds. If I choose to save the new "varieties" that appear on MY land, well, winds blow and bees swarm and that's just how the world works. Get one of those "domes" to farm in or go away.

You ever run a vehicle on E-85? No power and Crappy Gas Mileage.. I am growing some ole time corn this year, good thing there is no corn near me.. :^)

I'm fascinated with Hickory and Red.Butcher. I tested some blue Hopi seeds I saved from many years ago--out of 2 one came up. (Not a fair test I know.) I have another 98 seeds to test when I get some land. Pretty when ground.

I have no idea I just know its old.. Sweetcorn.. The Main thing w/ GMO's is its subsidized w/ our Tax $$ to produce all the seeds.. So Basically the govt is paying for us get poisoned if you eat that stuff.. If they can't get you one way they will get you another.. :^)

If they can't get you one way they will get you another.. :^)I don't think they're poisoning you; I'm a stupid, trusting person I guess. I recall studying fairly simple methods for how to "get the gender desired of offspring" when in college so I suppose I'm very naive. But my father was a physicist with a PhD who grew up on a dairy farm where they had a bull at times and sometimes paid to have the deed done and I have a couple of siblings with BS degrees (I have a BA in history and a BS in business (science? my eye!) so I'm really confused especially since my late mother was a Juris Doctor and could out think any "scientist" including Dad.
I see nothing wrong with improving plants; we all do that by growing selectively. (I loathe weeding out the weaklings; I am not a scientist.) There are many ways in which gene splicing/dicing/whatever have helped people so playing with nature is not a definite "no" IMO. Cheap gardener that I am, I try very hard to find natural waya to combat weeds/pests/growth issues so the idea of RU ready seeds irks me but those with acres under cultivation who make their living off of a single crop when weather is the uncertain look at the matter much differently and I don't fault them.
I have no doubt the grits I eat once in a while are GMO...they taste good.

Especially gas powered whackers, blowers, chainsaws and trimmers. The parts affected are the tubing and hoses that gas flows thru. They deteriorate fast. Especially the primer bulb on carbs. I had one disintegrate on my wheed whacker.

I have to replace a bulb on the Squeezes' Whacker, and it was only a year old..
