I recently purchased 2 Musa Cavendish Banana's from Lowes. The plants were living but leaves were turning a little brown and both had new growth coming out so I took a chance. I brought them home and put them in the ground. Since then, the new growth seems to have stopped on both plants but one has 3 pups coming up and the other has 3. Should I cut the mother back and let the Pups come up or should I just leave them alone for now. The largest pup is only about 6-7 inches high. Suggestions??
Thanks
Dannie

Dwarf Cavendish is a prolific pupper. If the mother has stopped pushing any new growth clipping her won't hurt anything. Only let the largest pup grow till a pup comes off of the plant you let grow on each plant.. Clipping pups will keep you busy.. :^)
