2+ years ago I bought some Dwarf Namwah's and put them in whiskey barrels. They had there ups and down and I thought I killed them a couple times but they always came back around. About a year ago I planted them when we moved into our new house and they took off growing.

At the end of March the first hand appeared on one of the plants. As the second plant started to show a flower it began to fall over. I don't have much space and I'm trying to find the best way to keep this up long enough to harvest.

Questions:

- Should I be fertilizing right now?
- What can I do to keep the plant from falling over?
- When should I begin harvesting?

Thanks so much!

You can prop it up w/ a board or a plastic pipe like in the pic below. :^)

Agree--prop it up under the peduncle as shown in the previous post. You could temporarily prop the pseudostem if it seems in iminent danger of falling over but this is not a good long term solution. I use crossed wooden braces made from 10' 3X2 wood purchased at the local home depot. You can drill out several holes to get the configuration you want, but don't forget to use a locking nut as otherwise they tend to back off and get lost over time.....

Good luck!
