Hello all,
I'm very new to the banana growing world, I ordered a dwarf cavendish for my wife as a surprise and I find myself getting more and more interested in making sure the little guy stays healthy. I will be doing plenty of reading and learning as I look forward to seeing the plant mature. For now I have it in a 8 inch pot with cactus/citrus potting soil mixed with perlite with a layer of compost manure on the top and have given it some fish emulsion. The plant is inside by the window for now. Is the plant to young to go out full time? Any extra little tips would be awesome. Thanks
Steve

Hello, Welcome & Happy Growing.. DC is a very robust growing plant in a warm environment. You will need a bigger pot soon if fed, and good weather exists.. :^)

I read that, but the thing is as long as it don't get cold your good.. They have a tendency to choke when flowering, and cold makes it worse.

Welcome to the Jungle !!:woohoonaner:

To be safe you may move your plant outdoors when avg temps are in the 60's.
Or bring it out during the warm day and bring it in at night when it is cooler.
Gradually introduce it to full sun, and don't overwater.

Have fun here.
