6 ft privacy wood fence goes around our yard. But if you look at a angle you can see in neighbors yard. Our one neighbor is very nosey and every time we walk into the backyard there dogs stand at the fence an bark. Every time we walked outside they would be coming over. So finally had to start avoiding them and they got the hint.Drives us nuts an so do they. Lock the dogs in the backyard for hrs and there son always yells through the fence asking what are you guys doing over there. So any ideas how we can block off the spaces between the fence?

Suggestion: automatic guns on motion-activated turrets that will point at them, but not fire. I think they'll get the hint very quickly LOL.

Otherwise, maybe plant some arborvitae or some other sort of bushy evergreen tree/hedge on your side of the fence so they can't really look (or talk) through.

Other option....befriend them and learn to like their social nature.

We have no problem with any other neighbors and talk to neighbors on the other side. We dont smoke and they do and dont want our kids around them because of that too. We are very friendly and social but my family is very busy and we dont get to spend much time together. So the weekend is our time when we want to be left alone to spend time together, take the kids to the play ground, yard work, etc. Not have someone up in your face as soon as you get out of the car. Its was 11:30 at night when we moved in and here this guy comes. I said hey how are you. Well we have alot of work to do.Then next thing I know he is asking my Wife how much we paid for our house. WTF. She said you can ask my husband that and he never did. Use some common sense. Yes thought about planting something but have to make sure it doesnt hang over on there side of the fence.

Hi I hope I can help you with ideas being implemented in a very similar scenario over here!
http://i57.tinypic.com/d8qad.jpg

The white house (in picture) has had the same residents for over 20 years.

The line of fir trees spans the whole length of my neighbors back yard.

Where you see I put the White fence posts, more fir trees (in that spot) where removed to lay a pipe in the ground.

I am still undecided what (bush or vine) will infest my white fence posts come summer, but it will be thick and have plenty of flowers to attract bees and hornets to scare the kids away! (and pollinate my garden)

I must add the people in this white house CAN NOT stop having kids for some reason?

My dog stays very annoyed by these people, but doesn't bark too much at them... He learned (my dog) quick they're jerks.

Have fun with it. Good luck/life!

The best you can do with close neighbors like you have is to not lose your cool and then lose all rapport with them. Their is no sound barrier that will suffice once respect for each other is lost. The more they care what you think of them is the only thing that will affect how considerate they are.
It's time to learn how to get along, bull****, ignore or move.
Back yard wars can be very entertaining but, only from a distance!

Well HOA also sends them complaints we aren't the only ones that don't care for them. Their backyard is horrible. We will just keep praying they move like the guy said they want too. We are not going to start fighting like your thinking. Policeman next door anyhow.

I've had a similar problem and talking may have worked in the beginning, but seldom helps after it escalates. I'm a farmer and simple works for me.

Have a neighbor's house 8' from a property line, it was built so close because it had an ocean view. They sprayed glyphosate on several rows of naners because they were obstructing their view.

After constructing a high earthen berm next to their house, the naners are no longer an issue but now the berm blocks their sunrise, ocean view and obstructs the breeze.

Sometimes you just can't make all your neighbors happy, no matter how hard you try.
