Here is a trimmed Goldfinger Stem that has growth potential.. :^)

Here is a Goldfinger Stem that has pulled a flower and it's cut off in the stem that was trimmed. Notice the center is totally solid.. unlike the picture above..

Here is a dead Raja Puri Flower I dug out of the stem..

Well I had to go investigating why the Namwah looked good up top, but wasn't growing.

Of course I trimmed only as I had to, but it was inevitable I was going to end up @ the base. Of course the center looked good all the way down the 11' or so till I got close to the base.. and the Flower was all mush. Here is a pic of the base w/ what's left of the flower to the bottom of the pic..

I guess next year if it gets so cold I need to make sure the heat tape covers the trunk uniformly or cover the frost cloth on some portions w/ plastic to keep the wind @ bay, but leave it to breath as well. Well maybe next year.. :^)

So if the cigar is moving the stem is safe?
I got a couple of bajoo stems with corm/ lower stem damage that have pushed out.

If they are pushing I would say they are good to go.. :^)
