Thanks! Glad to be here. We are kinda sorta in the banana belt here if you mulch very heavily, your banana corm will live under the pine straw. I cheat a little and use my basement to overwinter my plants. I have a greenhouse, but I don't keep it very warm, so it is easier just to let them go dormant in the basement and plant them in the yard after mid-April and dig them up in mid-October.

Welcome to the nana head forum .. I've been absent (lurking) myself for awhile with little time to write. Hope that changes soon.
My nanas took a beating this winter -I leave them in ground and winterize. Two more mats left to clean up.
