I bought a Veinte Cohol, and can extend the season maybe in my greenhouse, is it possible to get fruit in zone 7? Can you dig up, and repot a banana in bloom without killing the buds? Is there time for the fruit to form outdoors in zone 7?

if the timing is right it looks like it can be done. plant should be as big as possible just before your last frost. Mine are gonna be a little short this try, I am sure there are lots of others trying the Viente cohol this year!

I do not see how you would not be able to so long as you can keep it alive over the winter in a pot. The larger you can get it before planting it in the ground after your last frost the better.

The later in fall you wait to dig up the corm to put in a pot the less roots your going to have to worry about.. I bet it would fruit pretty good in a 25 gal nursery pot.. :^)
