How Ya'll do?
Well got pretty nice and warm here in Lizard Creek today so I decided to finish the other Top Bar Barrel Bee Hive.
Now all I have to do is glue all the popsicle sticks to the 34 Top Bars lol
Peace Bee with U!

Did those bees ever check in to your motel? Perhaps a AAA discount would help?

Not yet, however; I've done some PRETTY good advertising to see if I can speed things along:}

When is swarm season down your way?? Here is St Louis the pond still has enough ice to walk across. We do not expect homeless bees until May.

I thought I'd read all your bee threads and been suitably impressed with your hives. However, I don't recall noticing your mentioning traps before. Could you point me to the proper link or explain more about them?

Gladly:}
Swarm traps that I have made are two types TBH (Top Bar Hive) traps
and 5 frame Nucleus (NUC) traps
Now when I say/mention traps maybe I should say boxes. They are used to catch feral bee's or bee's that have decided to leave their current hive and move else where...It's what bee's do SWARM
Instead of them living/ moving into in a tree/house/old barn/ abandoned sofa etc. I'm trying to lure them into the boxes and hive them and feed and take care of them:}
Simply search Nuc Boxes/Traps and you'll find much info and Youtube also has some good videos
Here are a couple of pics of the one's I have set out now and I'm building another 4 this week with a Cammo Paint Scheme:}
Thanks for you interest any time simply PM me and I can be more specific on my approach to SAVING THE BEE'S

Anywho if I am successful in catching some bee's in one of the swarm traps I then simply take the frames from the swarm box and move into a larger hive at my home...I haven't caught anything but a neck ache from all the reading and studying so far lol
Wish me luck...
I'll keep everyone posted

but seriously, did you bait em with lemongrass oil?
It's the "swarm" scent, helps a lot

Must not be holding my tongue right or something lol
I'll keep it going for the next 3-4 weeks and see IF I get LUCKY!
