My name is Jordan and I live in green valley. I just bought some banana tree seedlings online and got them but they are pretty small. Another grower recommended I find a local grower that has a bigger dwarf I could buy from another grower to get me started (he said I will probably kill the seedlings if I'm not experienced growing bananas). Anyway, I'd love to connect with other Banana growers since I'm just getting started. I would be more than happy to pay someone for a one or two footer that I could get started with... other than that any input is more than welcome! THX!

Hello, Welcome & Happy Growing.. Soil Mix that doesn't have water retaining crystals, and drains well is the key to getting T/C's to grow, and don't over water.. :^)

Perlite & Peet are good, and one fellow here believes you should just grow your banana's in a pot of old compressed grass (he does that pretty darn good too).. :^)

Ornamental bananas are grown from seed. If you want a banana plant that produces edible fruit, then you'll need to purchase a live one locally, online, or from a member here.

Tissue Culture Plants.. Banana's and other plants are mass produced thru this means and plants are very small. Virtually have no corm and takes a while to grow them to a decent size.. :^)
