HI I have 225 acres of Lake Corpus Christi and am in the process of creating an animal reserve. It already has lush vegetation and plenty of deer etc.

Last week I brought two orphaned possums that we raised for a while in our house as our first additions.

There's plenty of room for banana trees and I expect they are easier to grow than many other fruits. I have about 40 plants outside my house.

The weather is warm - mid 90s from june to late sept.

Instead of germanating many seeds I've thought of just planting a few thousand in the warm somewhat moist soil. Even if only 5% come up that's a lot of plants- maybe Ill ask this on the forum.

Welcome! That is so great about your wildlife refuge!
I've only grown a couple of bananas from seed, and it took months for them to germinate. Hopefully the seed growers here will have some good advice for you about seeds.

Welcome!

Thats a beautiful thing you're doing.

You might want to consider buying a few trays of tissue cultured bananas.
Only a few banana types are grown from seed, why limit yourself...

Post some pictures if you can!
