Hello,
My name is Lawler and I am somewhat new to the forum... joined over the summer, but never posted an "Introduction" thread.
So, I went to complete my profile, etc., I cannot get the dadgum thing to 'pin' my local. I manually put in lat and long coordinates, but had no response from the program. Maybe I'll get there in time.
Anyway, we're located 45 minutes WSW of Houston,TX. Got down to 21'F with this last Arctic blast. Have acreage, love animals, breed Danes & Homozygous Black Arabs, like to garden and can stuff from it & our trees... maybe I can come up with a Banana canned good that would delight.
Have enjoyed the forum and VERY MUCH appreciate the information I can glean from it. Thanks!
Lawler
p.s. Richard, let me know if I've left anything out :-)

So you're down by Wharton? and it got to 21F ?? The winter vegetable crop in the lower Rio Grande must have been totaled.

Thanks for the welcome. We are north of Wharton- but, yes, 21'F for a good spell. Didn't come out of freezing except for 1 hour that late afternoon. Had out citrus covered/lighted. We'll wait to put any new bananas in until last frost.
Thanks again for all the info. The learning curve on the pups is a fun ride!
