I ordered my first banana tree online last summer and im really happy with how it is growing since i repotted it.
But i right now it is still not a foot tall but its producing beutifull new leafs almost weekly, and after some looking around online im seeing bananas that are 3-4x the size of of mine that also have pups

My question is i have a standard Miracle grow furtilizer and a Palm tree furtilizer in granular form that is desined for outdoor palms that is made by Miraclegrow.

Which would be the best furtilizer for it living indoors in utah?

Thank you!

I ordered one too and I don't think mine is that tall. Of course its sitting in an office.. If it stays indoors though out the year It may take 3-4 years to fruit it its getting good lighting.. If yours has a stem of 1 foot sounds like your doing good things.. I'm going to stick mine in a 25 gal pot come spring.. This is mine from Aug.. :^)

Thats a great looking plant, im always amazed at how fast it makes new leafs!

I was always under the impression that bananas didnt grow much more than a year or two before you had to cut off the stem and start over.

Your saying it takes 3-4 years before they get big?

Mine hasnt produced any pups yet and thats why i wad wondering if i should be using fertilizer.
Thank you!
