I would like to try my hand at starting from seed too. I am not 100% sure what the plants are that I do have.

I would like to take Basjoo seedlings and see which ones take cold better, to select a very hardy plant. I am just confused because everyone says they are full of seeds, but I see no seeds for sale lol. I'm sure there is an explanation, but I cant find it. I did finally sprout a Ensete Glaucum, not a Banana but finally sprouted something lol.

My wife sent a seed catalog to my work email, there were some banana seeds and some palms, I will try to find it again

Fellas, these plants are so prolific in the gardens in our zone........why bother?

If you want to increase your plants, feed them .....and use the pups.

Jus sayin.

Good point Mike . I have 15 or more pups in the garage now. I dont really need anymore Basjoo. I would however like to try to raise different varieties, well more than my local supplier gets in. Seeds seem to be the best way to ship across country...

Its so cold here right now that I would be afraid to get Bananas in the mail, it would most likely freeze the corms solid. Thats why I ordered a few varieties seed in the mail the other day instead of plants.
