I would've not cut it & sent it back if instructed to, after sending them a picture of the plant, and requested a replacement or refund, not that is going to work.. :^)

Since no pic.......just my op.......
If the corm is not damaged then your plant will still thrive, not as fast as it was intended to be, but just as fast as it wants to be. Plant it as if normal, and soon it will recover

I took it to PayPal resolution center to dispute it with wellsprings its who i got it from they packed my box full and then couldn't fit the last guy so they bent it just to fit inside the box and on the free plants you get i got microrizza and there were spider mites underneath it. I know I can just wipe them off because they come in such little plants but from my perspective they messed up on both of my orders so far :( there the only people with Thai black that's affordable :(

I am with everybody else. By the time you have that dispute settled and get a
replacement, this plant will be further ahead than any replacement and with the
present plant being too high for the packaging, they are likely to send you a much
smaller plant, with an accordingly smaller corm, which really is the plant and you
are set back again.

well every week ill take a pic of it to see the progress so then we can all see ill compare it to another one I purchased so there is no difference between the two
