Well I heard that on the Tube & almost freaked.. Had to think about what I'm thankful for this year other than family, and good friends, some if which are members..
-Frost Cloth more now than ever.. lol
-Heat-tapes
-Leaves falling so squirrels in the trees will be in serious trouble.
-Bigger tires on my 4-wheeler (its a Redneck thing)
-All that my trees have produced or are going to (pecans are still falling)
-A Ham for Thanksgiving.. That's right I don't like to get my Football fowled up....
- The great advice, plants & feedback I get here from members..

That's right saved the best for last.. :^)

A food drive at a Canton, Ohio, Walmart is creating an uproar because it’s being organized to benefit Walmart employees.

Collection bins have been placed in an employee-only area of the store with a sign that reads “Please donate food items here so associates in need can enjoy Thanksgiving dinner.”

A photo of the bins taken by a store employee has gone viral on Facebook. Some employees say that if Walmart paid them more money, they wouldn’t have to rely on food stamps.

A Walmart spokesman told the Cleveland Plain Dealer that this decision was made at the store level, and it’s for associates who are dealing with hardships

Aren't associates working T-day at Walmarts? If so, when would they have time to sit down and eat the donations? BTW I was in Ohio a year and a half ago and my dinner wasn't very expensive unless I didn't cook from scratch. It's a lot cheaper if you don't do that stupid green bean casserole and don't buy Pepperidge Farm stuffing mix. Go to Aldis or Marcs and buy the basics; get your turkey on sale. If there is a turkey shortage, buy a ham. Sheesh.

ETA: I"m having an 89 cent turkey TV dinner this year--when I finally get settled, I'm doing a turkey even if it's for Cinco de Mayo.

I'm thankful for my grandma pat she died this year from cancer and before that I stayed with her to take care of her. Every morning she would yell at me saying I was worthless, drop plates and throw things in the sink, she would roll her eyes and give a disgusted look at me all the time. Yet I know she was just in pain so I accepted it. And it was the best decision I ever made. Because when we went to her life celebration and I saw the ones she gave birth to my aunts laughed at her when people were talking how sweet she was because they knew it wasn't true.
It made me realize how blessed I was that even in the worst time I would never try to hurt my own family. I would never laugh and make fun of someone that's different. that I would never care about money the way most people do. I AM different I do my own thing. I would never drink alcohol but use other drugs and it breaks my heart that I came to be like this. Because I used to be such an adventures kid. At the end of the day I suck it up and say at least my heart has a meaning. At least I can be honest to my self. Even if I don't have someone that would do the same for me my heart is being guided by me and an angel not anyone else. thank you grandma pat the world is still spinning and its spinning for people like you:)
