Good Luck, I know no such remedy.. My stains are brown on one of my t-shirts and been washed at least a hundred times and it doesn't fade.. :^)

Wear you banana stains as a badge of courage !
I wore a new shirt. that had my name on it! My wife bough it for me. Wile I cut down a Banana plant.... The stains are still there and Ive tried a bunch of secret stuff with no good results.. The only good thing is now if I dont want my wife talking to me I wear that shirt :)

Great for future reference if I ever want to do some dyeing.

Seriously though, I feel for you. My book says soak in white vinegar then wash in hot water, before washing giving it a dab of eucalyptus essential oil, or try any essential oil if you have another in the house. (I doubt a "scent oil" that wasn't essential would help.) I haven't dealt with grass stains but the book's been pretty reliable for other problems.

I had a quick google and things designed to cope with grass stains seem to be recommended, because of chlorophyll maybe. Don't scrub at it. If it's already been through the washing machine and especially the tumble dryer, it is probably too late.

Oh yeah. You're a member of the club now. Be sure to wear those clothes anytime you attend a bananas.org meet-up or a rare-fruit-growers meeting. The real gardeners will look at you with appreciation.
