What difference is Ornata and
Musa Velutina - Bananas Wiki (http://www.bananas.org/wiki/Musa_Velutina) ?
To me it looks more Velutina.

Both Ornata and velutina have variable blooom colors as well as fruit.

Sure looks close. I was thinking the Ornata had a longer bloom. I don't know! Heck I'm not even sure of what I thought I knew before I was confused and thought I might know what it was but that was after..........
See what I mean!!!!!!!!

Ok? So sounds like :"these" bananas need to ripen so we can see what color they end up being and whether they are fuzzy or not, to be able to tell which one they are?

Soooo, Start of first frost in Birmingham. Had to bring the nana's indoors.
New question: Pink Bananas? Do they stay pink totally?
Our son said when he brought them indoors the bananas started to ripen...but they are turning yellow, not pink, etc. Would that mean they are not Ornate or Velutina at all? Another variety totally?
