Do anyone of you have experience in getting sikkimensis blooming? I have a corm in full-ground for about 2 years.

The first time I've tried to overwinter the stems, was quite unsuccesfull, I must say. They all turned into mush, but not this year! This year is quite opposite. None of the stems were lost, even the little pups survived. I've got 2 stems that are over the two meters now and quite thick at the base (+-25cm). I also got 3 other big ones, almost 2m and a little less at the stem.

The past summer I just let them all grow, but this summer I question myself if its not a lot of big stems on one corm? I would like them to grow with the vigor of last year, so I can get them blooming.

Thanks,
Gunther, Brussels

The pseudostems are all from the one corm, that just keeps getting bigger stronger every year it's in the ground.
If you want blooms, the way you manage all those pups will affect that. BUT I find that all rather confusing, and have yet to get anything to bloom myself...so perhaps someone else can advise you further.
