Went to Harris's Hideaway at Lake Harris yesterday and they have many feral banana trees fruiting (at least two different varieties) all over the place by the boat dock. I was not able to hunt/dig up any, let me know if you go :) Not for the faint of heart- spiders everywhere and real FL thick jungle. Also, be aware, there was a good sized macaque monkey there as well- first time the local regulars had ever seen him. Pretty cool :)

Hate spiders and snakes. (Cockroaches also but that's another thing.) Have learned to play nice with toads, lizards and little frogs. Monkeys? I'm not sure. I was awoken by a screaming monkey in Costa Rica. I was warned but I sure was glad I was tucked safely in my bed inside the cabina.
