Does anyone know anything about this variety. I am out of state and the Lowes locally has a variety by the name of musa dwarf green. The agristarts website states that it is a Cavendish type with orange pulp. Is this something completely different than the dwarf red and would it be worth picking up?

It is Dwarf Red which has reverted back to the normal banana plant coloration of green. In all other ways, it is like Dwarf Red. The fruit will taste the same as red, it'll have the same pinkish-orangish flesh, and the plant will be susceptible to cold like a red. It is not a Cavendish, though in the same group (AAA genome).

Thank you for the info. I already have a dwarf red so I passed on making the purchase. Is it the same as musa dwarf green red? I did find and try my first apple bananas that I found at Sedanos. They tasted like a cavendish with a granny smith apple mixed in. I have to say that it was really good.

For me, I prefer the taste of the Green Reds to the Reds. Reds have a very distinctive taste, and I find the Green much the same, but like that taste has been turned down a notch.
