View Full Version : Bananas outside in Frederick, MD
I used to live in the Silver Spring area; someone there had bananas planted outside that regrew ever year. (I assume these were merely ornamental.) But a few years ago I read about someone in Baltimore having blooms so went to find the article. No luck but I did find this one. Man goes bananas in Frederick - Human Interest - Frederick News-Post (http://www.fredericknewspost.com/your_life/life_news_collection/human_interest/article_895c6e3c-2ef0-5d4b-b662-d2dd958ce0cf.html?mode=jqm)
Said "thanks" but that was for replying; I didn't write the article.
I wonder what kind of plants? Surely someone here could hazard a guess.

lol I can relate to the part when drivers will stop and stare at my plants wondering what the heck they are. Being so far up north, its funny to catch people slowing down to see them, kinda makes me proud that they became such an eye catcher in my yard!

Thank you for sharing, that looks like a more better method then the LER (Let Er Rip) winterization method I have in mind for this year:}
