Bananas a re dominating plantains the world over. However, where I come from bananas are the sweet fruits eaten only as dessert. We rather boil, roast or steam plantains and eat them with various sauses. When we pound boiled plantains with cassava we call it fufu and we like to eat it with light soup made from meat fish or even mushrooms
Hope you will all find time to share in our plantain diets.
Cheers!!

Welcome! I personally like maduros or tostones, which are twice-fried plantain or cooking banana slices. Tostones made from 'Orinoco' bananas are excellent.
