Thanks in advance!!!

A nursery lie to you about the type of variety of bananas they are selling you...
Are your serious?
That's not possible due to the fact they have NO IDEA when it come to banana plants (most I've dealt with)
what variety they are selling..lol
They will tell you these are banana plant if that's what the little plastic tag or insert in the pot reads:}

Welcome to the world of attempting to collect certain bananas. Wherever you got it from, the gold standard in lying about varieties is Aloha Tropicals. 1 correct out of 8 so far, with 3 left to be determined. It's so fun to learn 1.5-2 to years later that you didn't get what you paid for. In the scheme of things, at least if they're edible and enjoy what you end up with, it's not too bad.

I could certainly be Sweetheart, FHIA-03. I don't see any characteristics that rule that one out. But that doesn't mean that it definitely is that variety.
Everyone is lying to you.
Except me.
Probably.
And Tony.
Not goldfinger.
WalMart in Jacksonville has solved this problem. You can purchase a banana plant and know it's a banana plant because the label says it is but that's all it says. (I'm sure someone here would know exactly what kind is being sold but I sure don't; it does appear to be a banana plant.)

It isn't just nurseries. I have received bananas and found out later that they were not what we were told from friends. They believed what they had was accurate because they were told so by the person who gave it to them.

Were their lips moving when they were speaking?
Not sure it's lies now that I've been around the banana crave lately simply IGNORANCE IMHO....Not knowing and just saying what you want to hear to get the sale!
Some however; speak with forked tongue and try to hide it lol

Hi Mayor,
Ignorance has now replaced common sence in the majority of individuals. Especially those trying to pry money out of your hand.
I got to ask are all those people in the pics your friends? If so you have to bring them with you when you come! They look like they know how to have a good time.
