Welcome! I'm also in the area, and also looking to start starfruit. How did you start your tree? I've been meaning to take cuttings from Lowry Park Zoo if they let me, otherwise I guess I'll just buy a home chepo plant.

never had any problems with animals except one time a squirrel got into my pineapples......but you can put some pie pans on string on the branches and will will usually scare them away.........or buy a pellet gun......(just saying)
