I agree -- it seems very likely you'll have a flower soon (if nature cooperates).

PR its a Orionoco i belive , i was given to me from a friend .
Today my wife reports that something strange is emerging from the same Banana Plant:08: ..
Now i am at Newark Airport waiting on my flight back home to FL:lurk:.
Once i arrive i will inspect it and take some fotos and update .
Ok the big question is , if its indeed the Flower emerging , and we are at the end of August , would there be enuff time to harvest before the NE florida frost set in ?
Does it take 4 month before harvest ?
Thanks Ed..

Ed - didn't find you on the map - let the bunch hang and plump out as long as you can - protect from frost- you might get lucky.
I wrap my late bunches with frost cloth to extend hang time..but once the temp drops below 50 consistently the growing season is over.

Quadrano is an Orinoco, if you can take some measurements.
Circumference at 1 meter/ 39" & Pseudostem height. :nanadrink:

That's the best plan. Tried ripe Orinoco this year out of hand. YUK!
They are great for tostones! Don't forget the mojo!
