This is the coldest summer I've ever experienced in Chicago, usually this time of year its in the upper 80s/low 90s during the day and upper 60s/low70s at night, the past couple weeks its been in the mid to upper 70s during the day and low 60s at night, actually last night it went down to like 56 degrees. When I walked outside to check my plants, I noticed the discoloration on the leaves of my smaller plants. Is this cold damage?

Why are the plants indoors ?

I didnt know what to do, I freaked out when I found them this morning and brought them inside, I have since brought them back outside because the sun is now shining on the backyard.

I highly doubt it is cold damage. I've had cavendish varieties outdoors down to low 40's without any issues. Mid 50's won't do anything to them other than halt growth till it warms up.

That's not nearly cold enough to cause cold damage. 50s and 60s is normal nighttime temps in the spring and sometimes in the summer here and my plants don't mind it at all.

Damn it must be fert burn, I may have gone a little overboard with the fert a few days ago.

Could be too often watering, let it dry out a little in between. Roots should not be soaked continuously.

Only reason I mentioned cavendish is that they are more cold sensitive than many other types. If they can survive low 40's, most other types won't have any issue.
