That sounds like a very cool name for a banana, must be ancient.

thats so great..i too am amazed how tough some plants are..even with
my neglect ..:( boo..booo..LOL :)
gardening in all that is there..we keep learning..finding new ways to do something,
new ideas..
i think your nanner in the compost is great example !!
for years i (non intentional) put my compost where my rhubarb was..when id use it up..
what do i find each yr at base of compost..my every suffering,persistent rhubarb!!!
tough stuff..
