I am from Palm Harbor, FL. I planted a Calamondin orange tree to memorialize a friend. When those darling littlle sour oranges came I wondered what to do with them. And then I decided to make marmalade. Well it was such a hit that people are clammoring for more. :goteam:But I only have one tree. Hope to get another soon. Meanwhile I wondered if I can buy the oranges loose. Any information would be appreciated.
This little tree started me making all sorts of jams that people are loving.
Anyone else from Palm Harbor?

What do you mean by buying them loose?
Welcome by the way! I don't grow Calamondins yet but I hear they're like Kumquats, and honestly I find kumquats soo useful and amazing. Great for a multitude of desserts/recipes as well as fresh eating, though Calamondins are indeed more tart. Did you know the rind is edible?
I don't live in FL though, but I do see plenty who do. Not sure how close they are to you.

Hi, Calamondins are a cross between Kumquats and Tangarines. They are to sour to eat so I make some amazing Marmalade from them. The taste is unbeatable. My little tree has some fruit on it now but it won't be ripe for a while.
I thought I once saw a site that sells calamondins loose, not on a tree. I had hoped I'd find someone who knew where I could get some.
Thanks for the response.

Yea you can buy them, but usually at the little places that have ethnic fruit & veggy foods.
Your on the west coast so any of my pointers in this local area wouldn't do you any good. Look for those little fruit stands and ask them if they can or will get them for you.
Cheers
