I keep on saying that I will chop this tree down, but I never have the heart. Never much fruit, but they sure are big.

I love avocados! I would keep it. At least its giving you something. Have you tried different fertilizer?

What if you were to trim it back just a little? Maybe it would produce more fruit?

I've read a little more about Pollock, apparently it characteristically doesn't produce much fruit. The tree has been pruned and fertilized. It was ready a month early. I had 18 fruits with an average weight of 2.25 lbs. The largest fruit was over 3 lbs!. I had a Miguel and a Lula at a previous house. The lula was crazily productive. One year, I produced 1000 lbs of fruit from one tree. Now it was a very large tree, but still 1000 lbs is a lot of fruit.

My Pollock was also unproductive so after the second harvest I had no problem with chopping it down.
