Hey folks
Look's like one of my Haas Avocado plants from Lowe's is infected or being eaten by some Zombie or something.
The disease/sore appeared at first as a white powder substance at a joint or a leaf/branch removed from the plant before I got it.
I asked at Lowes and was told their plants have a one year guarantee, I was just wondering if I should take it back to them now instead of wasting time, I feel it will eat through the trunk of this plant at the rate whatever it is is going>>>
My other plant from them is just fine:}
Suggestions please?
Thanks

The white stuff is a sugar that the plant secrets when it has an injury. There are several things it may be. None of which is good but may not be fatal. If they have a better plant I'd get it. My Mexicola has it but it seems to be clearing up and it is only on one and two year old wood. My HD does not have any more so I'm trying to let it outgrow it. I'll just wait and see.
I need to find a Avocado Forum!

Just saw this thread. I would have said, before you and Sunfish did the mumbles back and forth, back to Lowes now! That hole in the trunk that far down says RIP avocado.
My Lula has about 70 fruit hanging and should have harvestable size soon. This is what a CADO should look like --------------

Yeah looks like an injury to the trunk. I would return it if it has a one year warranty.

I made my first gumbo from his cooking show recipe. It is still my base recipe to this day.
I make some mean gumbo! It's all in the roux! I use a chocolate roux.
