Bought this a few months ago and was last one at nursery so was not in the best of shape but after a few hugs and long talks, seems to be doing very well. Planted in manure and garden soil and 10-10-10 applied once so far. New leaf coming out and all looks well. Hope I can get the other two plants back in shape now,,both with a fungus problem. Sprayed them today with a fungicide and cut a few of the leaves off that were being destroyed by the fungus.
Anyway,,they say this is a Sangria,,,,what are your thoughts ??http://sers\Public\Pictures\Sample Pictures

So far it looks like Ensete maurellii. Can you get a full picture of the plant?

E.Maurellii my guess.
They might have been calling it sangria because of the wine color of the foliage.

Yep,,,you guys are correct and do think the Sangria came about due to coloring. Will get a better pic and post this weekend. Really is a nice looking plant and love the color.

Visited my neighbor today and took this shot of his E. Maurelli. keep in mind,,,we're in zone 8 and his deck is about 3 feet off the ground.

Here's another shot. Travis says to get this height in zone 8,,,after the first slight frost he cuts all leaves off and cuts top off and them wraps in clear plastic and has been doing this for about 4 years.
