Default It's really big, and I'm not sure what it is.

I thought it was Orinoco before, but now I'm not so sure. I've never seen an Orinoco that's this fat. It's growing at the now vacant house next door to my grandparents' home. This thing is huge. I bet the mother p-stem is nearly as wide as my car's steering wheel, and this thing hasn't even flowered yet! These pictures really do it an injustice.

Oh, and I also managed to snag a pup, and probably will be snagging another in the near future. That sword pup back there is just ripe for the picking.

I'm sort of hoping that the landlord wants it removed. I'd be happy to do the job and salvage all of the pups and corm pieces. But then I might not get to see it flower this year.

Gold mine indeed. Look what I managed to snag today. And this was one of the smaller plants on the mat! My mini SUV is there for scale.

Here's our flower bud. Looks a lot like Orinoco to me, but that first hand has a LOT of fingers on it for an Orinoco. Anyone have some input?

If it's an Orinoco, it certainly is healthy. I have no idea what the neighbors have been feeding it, and it's exploded in size since the beginning of the season and pupped like crazy. The only hint I found was a few eggshells on the ground where the mat is. To me it doesn't look quite like a Namwah, the fingers are too spaced.

I'm still around for a month and a half, so I'll be able to take more pictures as the fruit mature.
