Hi I believe i have germinated a velutina seed. but i am looking for any photos of a one day, or two day old seedling to see if it is the same. thanks

My notes say these were less than a month old Musa Velutina when the photo was taken. I don't know the exact age but that helps narrow it down.

What did you do and how long did it take to germinate the M. velutina?

Allen they were simply put ontop of multi P with vermiculite on top and then put into a propogator in jan 07 and left to get on with it. I don't do the 10 hours on and 14 off as I don't have a timer and I would for get to put them back on if I turned them off at night.It looks to be 100% germination too
Sorry they were soaked for a week in the prop with prop temp water.

Thanks Mark. Mine have only been in since mid February. I may get some germination in the next few weeks.

I find Velutina the easiest by far to germinate. I wish they would all grow that easy.

I put them in the soil mix and left them outside in that pot!
