Ok so I put in these two basjoos in raised individual beds and for awhile this one was doing a new leaf per week. The other one grew a little slower. Well now this one has slowed way down. The new leaf coming out has been there two weeks. And the leaves are turning black on the stem. Now I water them every morning but only deeply every 3 days or so. Miracle grow liquid fertilizer once a week. It's been about 98 every day. Humidity around 50%. Is something wrong or are they just slower in the heat? Too much watering? Too much fertilizer? They are in full sun all day long.

Looks like that the plant is under definite stress. The plant is probably getting too much sun if it is in direct sunlight and 98. From the color of the leaves it also appears to be under nourished and probably under watered with those temps.
The mid rib of the leaf appears to have a fungus and the yellow color is probably due to the heat and direct sunlight. Shade it if possible during hottest time of the day.
Check the root system if more water and fertilizer doesn't help. Possible insect damage, root rot, or corm damage.

The confusing thing is someone pm'd me and said it's nothing, stop worrying about it. The thing that concerned me was the sudden slow down in growth. I've got them in a mix of manure and miracle grow with a whole lot of perlite. Sprayed a little neem on them. What next? Hope?

They do look sun burned. If you spray oil you need to do it in the evening ,maybe you knew that. Anyway I don't think they're going to die
