An accquaintance of mine wants to know what kind of banana this is, and it's driving me ... well, you know.

Anyway, the local (Burmese) name is phee gyan. Here is a photo, with a hand and a copy of Reader's Digest for scale:

Sorry I have no photos (yet) of the plant or the flower. But I am told this is a good banana to enjoy raw, and the inside is a pale yellow-white, like a Cavendish.

Any ideas?
