I am looking to get a few banana plants to put around my pool/deck area.
Anyone know where I can get some good plants, or anyone on this site have any reasonably priced?
Thanks

Hello.
I would recommend ordering them from a company called Hooked On Palms with several locations in the Pacific NW. I know that that is not close to you but you can have them sent UPS and they have out standing banana plants. I have attached three e-mail links you can check out from there web site. I recommend ordering them from there Seattle area location. Ask for Dave or Amy. They have several other cold hardy bananas available that will survive in your area.
The banana site HOOKED ON PALMS (http://www.hookedonpalms.com/hardybananas.html)
There contact information is on this link HOOKED ON PALMS (http://www.hookedonpalms.com/seattlemetroarea.html)
The shipping cost section on the site is at this link HOOKED ON PALMS (http://www.hookedonpalms.com/toorderbymail.html)
Have a great day

Have had good luck getting t/c plants from wellsprings on the net (ebay) and the plants got here in very good condition and grew very well also. Search ebay and there are several others. Good luck and stay healthy.

Plants delight in Raleigh,NC. They have several cold hardy types. Went there last year and got a Helen's hybrid and other plants.

Thanks for all the replies.
I ordered 5 Basjoos from Florida Hill Nursery, and
3 fruiting from Greenearth publishing.
Have to say they all arrived in great health, but Greenearth's plants were a LOT bigger than I expected, and pretty affordable too. and they are all tissue culture, as I have been told that is the best.
Another question, can I plant these around my soft sided above ground pool, or will the roots get up under my pool?
