On a recent trip to Cairns in Nth Queensaland I saw this Musa banksii growing in the Flecker Botanical Gardens. It's a wild banana with a whitish male bud can grow up to 6m or more but usually less.

I grew some of these from seed several years ago. I still have one planted down at my folks' house in Gainesville, FL. Sorry I haven't taken any pictures of it recently, but it is still doing quite well there! It isn't a very prolific pupper, but it comes back strong every year in zone 8b/9a.

Are there also seeds? If yes, then please one PM.

Best wishes

Joachim, it has not yet flowered. Even if it does, I doubt it would set seed there. The growing season isn't long enough, and the pseudostems die back to the ground each year. It doesn't get fertilized very often either, if at all.
