I have a Siam Ruby and a Zebrina in small containers. Which one can take more direct sun? I want to plant one of them in a spot in my garden that will get direct sun from sunrise till about 1 pm. Is it too much direct sun for either one? I'm in Miami.
Thanks

Either should be fine with plenty of full sun. Just be cognizant of your watering. Even large pots can dry out quickly when it's hot/sunny. Be prepared to water daily or even twice a day (morning/evening). Just depends on how wet they look, but check them OFTEN. If you go on any trips more than a day or two, I'd be finding someone to water them while you're gone.

Thanks for the info. I'm looking into setting up a drip irrigation system for my garden soon. I have a bunch of tropicals including canna lillys, gingers, haleconias, elephant ears and such.
Which one grows taller and tends to put out more pups? Zebrina or Siam Ruby?

Not sure which one gets taller (neither are 'massive'), but SR probably pups more. They tend to send up all sorts of them.
